The Eddersheim barrage also includes a crossing of the Main. From this "bridge" there is a wide view up the Main to the skyline of Frankfurt and down the Main. A view from above of the fast-flowing water at the Eddersheim power plant is interesting. There is a fish pass on the Eddersheim side of the river, which is clearly visible from above.

The area around the Eddersheim barrage is diverse. There is the Main including the "side arm" of the Main lock and the Main foreland, which was embellished by the Rhine-Main Regional Park after the abandonment of the former Caltex oil refinery in 2004, with its meadows and rest areas to discover.
