The 28 meter high Vulcano information platform (wooden tower) on the Steineberger Ley offers a wonderful view over the volcanic landscape of the Eifel; when the weather is good, parts of the Hunsrück and Westerwald are visible.

The Vulcano viewing platform / Steineberger Ley is currently closed.

I suspect it has to do with the 110-year-old Douglas fir support that broke out. Unfortunately, there is no specific information on the Vulcano info platform homepage.
