Perfect starting point to Shoshone Trail and Dead Lake. This is a primitive campsite with 2 sites, but nestled in pine forest at a creek. There are picnic tables and fire pits. Restrooms (pit toilet) are to be found at the trailhead parking lot. You cannot make a reservation, it is first come, first serve. The maximum continuous stay limit at the campsite is 14 days. There is no fee.
You can get here via Snake Creek Road, which is open year round, but can be muddy or snowy in the winter and spring. High clearance vehicles are recommended.
