The city has installed traffic light men in the shape of Boniface at its first intersection.
On the traffic sign near the cathedral, the red Boniface raises his cross in warning – similar to the monument in the city at Bonifatiusplatz.
When the light turns green, he marches off with his shepherd's crook.
Boniface, who lived from 673 to 744, is of great importance in the cathedral city and at the seat of the Diocese of Fulda.
