Cycling
Its name comes from the Vogelsberg Southern Railway (Vogelsberger Südbahn), which was decommissioned between 1958 and 1967. Since the former railway line is no longer usable due to many overbuildings and vegetation (nature conservation), the now asphalted route runs almost independently through the landscape. In some sections, downhill stretches (partly over 10%) require safe braking, especially from inline skaters.
