The Barnkowska Gate is one of the two preserved medieval gates of Chojna. The name comes from the former village of Barnkowo, to which the road leading out of the city from here led. The first gate was built at the beginning of the 14th century, later it was rebuilt from brick and expanded until the 16th century.
