Hiking

The view of the Kaiser Mountains from the Taubenseehütte is gigantic. Below you can see Ruhpolding, Kössen and the beautiful river loop of the Tiroler Ache. The food at the hut is fantastic and the portions are large. The staff is very friendly and doesn't get flustered even when it's very busy. If the thermals are good, you can see dozens of paragliders spiraling up into the air. Simply great.

The cute Taubenseehütte at 1,165 meters is in a perfect location and is perfect for a snowshoe tour. A rough last ascent in the snow demands a lot from you before you can be rewarded on the terrace or in the cozy dining room.
