On the lowest terrace of the Baroque garden is the beautiful Hercules Pond... from it rises the beautifully designed sculpture of Hercules, who swings a club

In the distance, slightly to the left of the cathedral, in the middle of the small broad area, you can see Gull Island. It is also called Seagull Mountain or, in Danish, Mågeøen, and is only 3-5 meters high. It is a bird sanctuary. It is monitored and maintained by the so-called Seagull King. Around 1115, there was also a castle on the island, from which some bricks and other remnants were washed away during the great flood of 2023.

Schleswig and the view of the cathedral. Anyone passing by here will definitely take a photo of the cathedral. I suspect it's the most photographed object in Schleswig!
