Morning, morning, here in Wenninsteedt, the air is fresh, the beach is wide. The dunes sway, the seagulls scream, and when the tide comes in – it’s beautiful! Here the world sleeps so softly on the flat, and every tourist is always smiling. The beach chairs have long been given up, but tea with a bun can be had. The “Red Cliff” in the evening sun, tells stories from the old days. Of whalers and storms, but Wenninsteedt, that’s what holds! And when the wind sweeps through your hair, you think: “I’ll stay here, it’s beautiful here!” Just be careful, the seagulls steal, the fish sandwich – that’s your dream! Conclusion: Wenninsteedt, ohl so fine, I should be here tomorrow too! On Sölt, where there is laughter and wit and laughter, that's my life, that's my time! 👉 P.S.: If you don't understand flat, just ask - or just laugh along! 😄

The boulder, which weighs around 20 tons, was washed up on Kampen beach in March 2005. It is a so-called "gneiss" from the Scandinavian mountains and is around a billion years old. From the diagram next to the boulder: "During the Ice Age over 200,000 years ago, part of a gneiss complex in Scandinavia broke off from the mighty glaciers and was transported hundreds of kilometers to Sylt by the ice stream. This stone, which was rounded off by the transport, is now called a boulder and was thus recovered from Kampen beach."

The paths in the Braderup Heath either lead to the mudflats or run parallel to them. In the morning at sunrise, you can walk through atmospheric scenery on all paths.
