An absolute eye-catcher in the Lübeck Museum Harbour! The "Lisa von Lübeck" is a true-to-original replica of a historical caravel (a late medieval ship type) from the 15th century. The impressive wooden ship was built between 1999 and 2004 and is a proud 35.9 meters long. It was named after the Lübeck patron Lisa Dräger, who initiated the entire project at the time. Those who come by at the right time can watch the crew setting the sails or even book a guest trip on the Trave!

The Wakenitz is geographically not a lake. but a 14.9-kilometer-long river and serves as the natural outflow of the Ratzeburger See. Due to a historical damming in the city area of Lübeck, it has very low current and a considerable width, which leads to this confusion.

Best to jog during the week. It's too busy there on the weekend. It's more suitable to arrive there at the end of your run.
