Beautifully renovated old Osterfeld train station right on the sugar railway cycle path.

The train station is now fully expanded, is used particularly for children and youth work and is very beautifully designed, including the surrounding area. We were able to talk to the person in charge and were thrilled by the commitment and financial donations from a donor.

The Zeitz–Camburg railway was a branch line in Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia. It ran from Zeitz an der Elster via Osterfeld to Camburg an der Saale and thus formed a cross connection between the Leipzig–Probstzella railway and the Großheringen–Saalfeld railway. Source: Wikipedia

Nice route for skating. However, there was a lot of debris (leaves and small sticks, small stones) on the way in the forest. When skating you have to be a bit careful because there are also a few climbs.
