The Moselle cycle path leads directly along the river bank near Piesport. You have a great view of the vineyards, the town with its pretty church and, of course, the Moselle.

The lock in Detzem is a wonderful vantage point. The local lock bridges a height difference of an incredible 9 meters. This is the greatest drop of all the locks on the Moselle! The lock can easily be reached on foot or by bike from the town. It is impressive to watch how a large ship overcomes this height in the lock chamber in such a short time.
