The Geierlay suspension bridge is 360 meters long, 100 meters high and connects the municipalities of Mörsdorf and Sosberg across the Mörsdorfer Bachtal valley. It was built based on a Nepalese model, is open all year round, 24/7, and admission is completely free. The construction weighs around 57 to 62 tons and withstands extreme wind speeds of over 200 km/h. The bridge was initiated as a tourism project by the municipality of Mörsdorf and opened on October 3, 2015.

Walking 360 meters floating above the valley is simply a special experience. The view is fantastic and the slight swaying of the bridge ensures that you definitely notice where you are.

The bridge is definitely worth a visit. Best to park at parking lot P1 in Mörsdorf. From there, simply follow the signs. The parking lot costs €10. No card payment at the machine. I find the parking fee okay because the bridge is free. Elsewhere, you also have to pay admission for a suspension bridge. Come as early as possible, then the parking lot and the bridge are nice and empty. When the bridge is nice and empty, it doesn't swing so much. Might be important for some.
