The middle lake at Großer Weserbogen is relatively easy to access from this shore. There are also a few spots where you can get into the water halfway comfortably and undisturbed by water plants. Have fun swimming!

On the Weser lies Germany's only functional ship mill. It was reconstructed according to plans and records from the 18th century. The first documented mention of Minden ship mills dates back to the year 1326, when the city leased six berths for ship mills on the Weser. This makes Minden one of the oldest ship mill locations in Germany. The ship mill is open daily from April to October, except on Mondays. In summer, throughout the week, the club's own ship mill pavilion with a beer garden naturally also caters to the physical well-being of the guests.

The mill is ideally situated on the Weser cycle path network. The combination of a historical monument and excellent cuisine makes it a worthwhile stop in the region.

Meanwhile (since the beginning of 2025), the bumpy track that has been infamous for years is finally a thing of the past. Now, this beautiful section of the Weser Cycle Route is also paved throughout and has a nice, wide surface. 😊🚴♀️🚴🚴♂️🍀
