The Church of St. Lawrence (Finnish: Vantaan Pyhän Laurin kirkko; Swedish: Helsinge kyrka S:t Lars) is a church in Vantaa, Finland. Dating back to ca. 1450, it is the oldest building in Vantaa and all of Greater Helsinki.[2] It is also the main church of the Tikkurila Parish. Along with its surrounding neighborhood, the church is a part of the Helsingin pitäjän kirkonkylä district, which is one of the best preserved historical parishes in all of Finland.[3] The Church of St. Lawrence was partially destroyed in a fire on 7 May 1893,[3] after which it was reconstructed in a Gothic Revival style. The Tulvaniityn Bridge (Swedish: Flödängsbron) is a pedestrian bridge over the Vantaa River in Helsinki. It was opened on 8 October 2020.[2] The curved girder bridge curves laterally, and its curvature helps, among other things, to stabilize the bridge and give the river room for flooding.[3] The choice of a specially curved bridge type was influenced by the Itika pedestrian bridge in Seinäjoki, which had been completed a few years earlier.[1] Source: https://fi.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tulvaniitynsilta
