The restaurant It Posthûs is located in the old post and telegraph office of Makkum. The building dates from 1874 and borders the old Zuiderzee dike. Unfortunately, the restaurant has permanently closed (as of April 2026), but the old, interesting building is still nice to look at from the outside.
