Originally consisting of 8 works of art by schoolchildren in Mellendorf, the Street of Children's Rights was awarded the Unicef Special Prize for “Children's Rights in School” in 2009. Since then it has been expanded several times and now consists of 16 additional art works, one for each district in Wedemark, as well as 9 further installations in the Neustadt a.d.R. and Wunstorf.

Youth club Scherenbostel. This is where the best runs start in Scherenbostel. There is also beach volleyball, a soccer goal, boules, picnic tables, a climbing wall and a playground for children, as well as the tennis court by TC Scherenbostel. The forest behind the football field is also a real adventure playground for young and old. Enjoy!
