Compagnie Surf et Turf is a catering pavilion in Hoedekenskerke, consisting of a nostalgic train carriage with kitchen, bar and seating, large covered terrace at 'viewing height' and an atmospheric outdoor terrace. You can go to Surf et Turf for coffee/tea, soft drinks, beer and wine. But there is also apple pie on the menu, various ice creams. And there is a snack menu with, for example, tortilla chips, toasted sandwiches and bittergarnituur. Compagnie Surf et Turf can also be booked for groups, parties and receptions. Compagnie Surf et Turf is located on the dike of the Nieuwe Veerweg in Hoedekenskerke, in the pocket of Zuid-Beveland. From this point you have a beautiful view of the Westerschelde, the marina and the village. A big plus is that you can park in front of the door. This ensures that Surf et Turf is in a unique location. Just as unique as the catering pavilion itself.

Hoedekenskerke station was a station on the tram line Goes - Hoedekenskerke - Goes of the former Spoorweg-Maatschappij Zuid-Beveland in Hoedekenskerke in the province of Zeeland. Nowadays the station is the terminus for the Goes - Borsele steam train. The railcar continues to Halte Baarland. The platform, with a canopy of over 20 meters long, has a track on both sides, which gives the steam locomotive the opportunity to walk around. This is not possible at the Baarland stop, which is why the steam train ends here. The station is located next to the marina and behind the station is the Pluimweide. This park is all about trains, so there is a mini railway that children can take a ride on. There is also a dining facility. There are also a number of model railway layouts inside. The Western Scheldt can be seen just outside the station (from a dike). Source: Wikipedia Read the full story at https://martijnvanvulpen.nl/spoorzoeken/museumspoorlijn/stoomtrein-goes-borsele/

Specific leash rules may apply in certain protected areas.

Beyond the natural landscapes, you can encounter historical elements like ancient polders and monumental farms. Some routes pass by significant sites such as the Great Church of Nisse.
