The tower with its three viewing heights is a great highlight in itself. The view from the top floor is very impressive

The volunteer fire department is located next to the school in the middle of the village of Bohnhorst.

For almost 130 years (from 1836 to 1965) Bohnhorst had its own village school. The old school built in 1898 (according to the inscription on the house wall) is now used as a village community center, the eastern side wing as a residential building, and the north-western part of the ground floor as a fire brigade equipment house. The old school is still the most striking building in the center of Bohnhorst.

The view out into the moor is fantastic. Always a magical goal for me. 🌟📸👍 Even if you have to be extremely careful not to slip on the sandy path there and back.
