The Kreidesee is a flooded chalk quarry that is mainly used by divers. What is particularly impressive about this lake is the clear blue of the water. Direct access to the lake is only allowed for divers and guests of the cottage settlement. Swimming is forbidden there. But the lake is also beautiful to look at from afar.

An Eldorado for divers! The lake was created by cement mining at the time. Old, still functioning emergency telephones can be found around the lake! Unfortunately, it is not possible to cycle around the lake!☝️

The chalk lake is filled with crystal clear spring water and is therefore one of the best diving spots in Germany. The lake is not open to swimmers, however. Nevertheless, it is a nice place to stop for a moment and enjoy the view.
