There are many paths here… but few places to stop for refreshments, so always have something to drink with you… the view of the Autostadt is very beautiful depending on the season

The Emmasee in Bremen's Bürgerpark was named after Countess Emma von Lesum (Lesmona), who was considered very generous and to whom the citizens of Bremen owe their Bürgerweide (the area between the Bürgerpark and the main station). As early as 1867, a coffee house with a music pavilion was built, initially as a tent improvisation. In 1897, it was rebuilt in Tyrolean style into an elegant coffee house, which was destroyed in World War II. In 1964, it was rebuilt with funds from the Bremer Bürgerpark lottery. The Bremer Bürgerpark lottery, as the name suggests, serves to preserve the Bremer Bürgerpark, which belongs to the citizens of Bremen and is financed solely by lottery funds and donations. By the way, Lesum, as part of Burg-Lesum, is today a district in Bremen-Nord, north of the river of the same name, the Lesum, which flows into the Weser near Bremen-Vegesack. Lesum or Lesmona probably became known beyond the region through the novel and the feature film "Summer in Lesmona", a true story in Lesum's Knoops-Park on the banks of the Lesum.

In the past, there were strawberry plantations in Habenhausen, on the south side of the Werdersee lake, which is why the name Erdbeerbrücke (Strawberry Bridge) quickly established itself among the population. Its official name was Werderbrücke, but in 1999 it was renamed Karl-Carstens-Brücke in honor of the former German Federal President from Bremen. Nevertheless, the name Erdbeerbrücke is still better known among the population.

All around the lake there are wooden walkways where you can dangle your feet in the water and look at the lake. The whole lake is very idyllic, with many benches inviting you to take a break.

I can't say anything about the beer garden. The highlight for me is the Lister Turm! "Originally, the Lister Turm was a watchtower of the medieval Hanoverian Landwehr (first mentioned in 1387). […] The old buildings, the associated forester's lodge, and the tower were demolished in the mid-19th century and replaced in 1895 at the edge of the forest by a romanticizing replica by Hermann Schaedtler. In the spring of 1933, the National Socialists operated an unofficial prison with a torture cellar in the building. A memorial plaque today commemorates the prisoners and victims. […] Today, the tower serves as a district center for the state capital Hanover. Next to it is a beer garden." https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lister_Turm
