April 26, 2026, Stone Bridge by the River Deben

*WARNING* As of 25/4/26 the footbridge across the river is shut so you cannot access the footpath. Which means the route from Summer Lane Bromeswell is a dead end.

Watch the wet boards as they can be slippy, keep to wire centre, otherwise good route

Popular cafe near the quayside. There's no dedicated bike parking but you can use an outside table or just lean your bike against a bollard outside, which are easily visible through the floor to ceiling windows. Open 9-5 every day.

On the Debden Estuary, Kyson Point is a quiet spot and you may find yourself the only person out exploring. Climb up nearby Kyson Hill for even better views of the beautiful surroundings. Please check tide times before visiting as it can become impassable at high tide.

On the River Debden, Woodbridge makes a beautiful location for a run. It is best known as being the home of Sutton Hoo, the burial site of an Anglo-Saxon King. He was interred in a ship surrounded by his most valuable possessions.
