The church was completed in 1844 and has seen a great deal. The main organ also dates from this period and is still functional. The building itself is made of brickwork, which is fortunately easy to recognize here.

The Lehnitz Lock is the busiest lock on the Oder-Havel Waterway. On my tour, I saw two push barges.

The long Trödel (officially Finow Canal) is great to navigate: sunny and shady sections alternate, there are few motorboats, a great landscape and lots of aquatic creatures to observe. There are mooring options in the town next to the two drawbridges.

The canoe rental is located directly at the almost 400-year-old Lange Trödel. After just a few strokes of the row, you are surrounded by peaceful nature and can look out for water birds and beaver tracks. Choose your watercraft on site: there are kayaks of various sizes, Canadian canoes and SUPs. It is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (except Monday, when it is closed).
