Beautiful trail. The climb is steep, but it makes you want to linger a little longer (even if it leaves some of you a bit out of breath)... ✌️😃👍

Coming from Dorfen, this is the turning point for the half marathon course at the Dorfen City Run. You pass by here twice. The course is only as wide as a tractor, so there is not much room to turn around.

The Vilstal cycle path between Eibach and Dorfen is an asphalted path that is suitable for pedestrians and cyclists. The route is in very good condition throughout and is perfectly suitable for running. At kilometer 2.5 there is a wooden bridge that has no transition to the asphalt, so this is not a problem either. Every 500 meters there is a sign on the side (right side from the direction of Dorfen) with kilometer information. From the direction of Dorfen it is almost entirely uphill to Eibach, or flat. There is no real downhill section in the direction of Eibach. The photos were taken on the way from Eibach to Dorfen.

The Vilstal cycle path between the Flutkanal road and the Mühlangerstraße is smooth and has a bridge over the Isen. The transitions between the road and the bridge are a little uneven, but this should not normally cause any problems.

The Vilstal cycle path between Gartenstrasse and Flutkanal is characterized by a smooth surface and the bridge over the flood canal. There is a very small step at the transitions from the path to the bridge, but this should not normally cause any problems.

The start of the Vilstal cycle path from Dorfen train station in the direction of Taufkirchen (Vils) and Velden. The surface is very good and smooth and therefore very suitable as a running route. The route slopes slightly towards Gartenstrasse and is therefore a good starting point. The route is shared with cyclists and other pedestrians and can be "narrow" at weekends.

Here you can occasionally meet fishermen fishing. Generally nice people who greet people nicely back. Nice place right on the Isen. To the meadow bird conservation area here: The path goes through the conservation area, but can also be used during the conservation period.

As a reminder of the former railway line that used to run past here, there is a locomotive and a signal here. Unfortunately, the locomotive is not in very good condition on the outside. There is a table next door that invites you to linger.
