Just a few minutes above Versam is the Islabord viewing platform. The freely projecting viewing balcony offers an impressive view of the steep, up to several hundred meters high rock faces of the Rhine Gorge and the turquoise-green Vorderrhein deep down in the valley. From here, the immense dimension of the Ruinaulta can be particularly well recognized. The platform is accessible in a few minutes' walk from the car park and is therefore also ideal for visitors who do not want to undertake a longer hike. Information boards provide knowledge about the formation of the Rhine Gorge, which was created by the massive Flims landslide about 10,000 years ago.

The initial trail is challenging but in a good way 😉 . It offers wonderful scenery and biking fun. From the glacier to Son Martin, partly blocked and demanding (S2-3). If you then tackle the Nagens-, Green Valley- and Runcatrail, you'll have around 12km of trail fun. 🎉🤩

Wonderful flow, well-built, the Northshore elements are gone by now but still totally fun! 🥳

The view from the two platforms of the Islabord viewpoint into the Rhine Gorge is unique. On the opposite side, you can see the Il Spir viewing tower. There is a small parking lot in the immediate vicinity, so that people with reduced mobility can also use the viewpoint.
