The Drachenbrunnen (Dragespringvandet) on Copenhagen City Hall Square is a monument of bronze and granite, designed by Joakim Skovgaard and Thorvald Bindesbøll. The fountain basin is lined with water-spouting dragons and lizards, which, according to an anecdote, were intended to intimidate citizens with complaints when entering the City Hall. After several relocations and a renovation during the subway construction, the fountain was fully reopened in the center of the square in June 2023.

The famous Dragon Fountain stands in the middle of the Town Hall Square in Copenhagen and features a fighting bull and dragon as its central motif. The artwork was designed by Joakim Skovgaard and Thorvald Bindesbøll, with the inauguration being delayed for several years until 1923 after some back and forth. After several relocations and an extensive renovation, the fine piece has been standing smartly restored in its place again since 2023.

The traditional Royal Danish Theatre on Kongens Nytorv square was opened in its current form in 1874 and has since served as an important cultural institution of the country. The magnificent building at the historic address today primarily houses classical ballet as well as smaller opera and theatre productions. Together with newer venues such as the Opera House and the Playhouse, it forms the versatile umbrella of the national Danish theatre system.
