Ascent/descent from/to the Plattakopf. It's fun, but the descent is very challenging as there are hardly any footholds on the rock and it goes straight down. Those who are unsure can also use a via ferrata set here for help. The warnings from the DAV are rightly there.

The Staufner Haus is currently a vegetarian hut, the food is good, the people are nice, the drying room is well heated, there is a 1-minute shower time for one euro and we felt really comfortable 👍

From the summit cross on the western peak, you have a beautiful view north toward Hittisau. The ascent and descent are steep, but worth it.

The view is only to the south, but it's wonderful. The steep climb is worth it. From here, we continue toward the west summit.

The path is indeed quite narrow and steep. We walked up it. It must have been uncomfortable when it was wet.
