These days, everything here is purely touristy. The charm of St. Wolfgang/Wolfgangsee has been lost somewhere along the way. It's a shame, but that's the way it is.

The cycle path from St.Gilgen to St.Wolfgang is also easy to do with children, you can also shorten it by taking the ferry for 6.10 euros per adult + bicycle

Unfortunately, the Gasthof Schafberg Alpe is permanently closed. Currently, there is only a takeaway kiosk on the side of the building.
