From here it is 'just' 185 locks to get to London ;-)

Beautiful and well preserved half-timbered building, you will not find many in similar style and quality around. Even if you do not enter the museum it is worth a detour to have a view.

Obviously not the original Shakespeare Theatre, but a similar touristy place as the on ein London - much less 'into the face' though. The shop has quite some nice items, the CafΓ© is ok and you can get up to the tower for a view. On the different floors costumes from plays are on display - worth checking them out. If you join a play expect to have a number of school classes in there.

Just after the marina there is a steep but sturdy set of steps taking you up to the footpath above the river.
