Torque Bikes is run by Leighton Sami-Taylor a really knowledgeable bike mechanic, who is extremely helpful. While I was on a bike touring holiday my rear wheel suddenly warped and started rubbing on the frame. I called Torque and Leighton said he would look at it but could not promise he could fix it quickly. When I arrived he immediately inspected my bike, announced that he thought a couple of spokes had come loose and allowed the rim to warp. He popped the rear wheel off, took it into his upstairs workshop and returned 10 mins later with it very nearly as good as new but he advised getting a couple of spokes replaced when I got home. Service beyond exceptional and he saved my cycling over the holiday. Not only that his charges are very reasonable. Leighton has 61 5* reviews on Google and deserves every one my 5* review is 62. Highly recommended. Call Torque on 01787 379406

Straddling the beautiful River Stour β and therefore both Suffolk and Essex too β Bures a lovely village. Its medieval church of St Mary the Virgin is a fine sight. Walkers can refuel at one of two pubs β the Three Horseshoes or the Eight Bells β and find accommodation at the Old Manse B&B.
