The entrance to Hutchinson's Bank runs next to the Fishers Farm Household reuse and recycling centre, along a rough tarmac path.

This tram stop provides a perfect jumping off point for visiting Hutchinson's Bank nature reserve. Head for the little green with the wooden sculptures of different animals on the right of the tram, and follow the discreet signs to Hutchinson's Bank. With a regular tram service to East Croydon (~20mins) and beyond you can easily transition from busy urban metropolis into tranquil countryside. There's no real easy way up to Hamsey Green/Warlingham...so you've got to grit your teeth and bear it! It's pretty short and sharp...the downside is that it's a pretty busy road, which is frequented by HGVs (and Surrey Tractors), which often end up passing very closely to you. BE CAREFUL!

Warlingham's a nice place to stop on your way in or out of London on a long ride. Has a nice green in the centre, a couple of half decent cafes, a co-op for supplies and a bakery that does a nice vegan selection.

Nice coffee shop with Tables outside. Then you can pretty much roll down hill all the way to London!
