Wlif Waterfalls is the highest waterfall in West Africa, with a height of about eighty metres. It also has a double drop, the top one being out of sight; this too is just as dramatic and is a two-hour hike from the start point. The walk in to the lower fall is just short of three kilometres, and it is a hot forty-five-minute one over nine bridges from the tourist centre. It is a popular swimming and picnic spot, and the hiking trail through the Agumatsa Wildlife Sanctuary offers great views, and at the falls you get to see large fruit bat colonies nesting on the cliffs.

The tours must be registered here. Nobody checked whether only the waterfall or only the mountain was visited. There was no one else there with us. So it is enough to pay for one of the two. As you like.

If you don't want a circular route and want to get to the upper waterfall quickly, we recommend this steep section up to the Waterfall. Short and intense.

Waterfall in the middle of nature. Not as much junk as expected! The water is pretty clear. It is advisable to have swimming gear with you and to use it. All in all a beautiful natural spectacle.

The upper part of the waterfall is more difficult to reach. Accordingly, it can usually be assumed that you have more privacy. The water hits you in the face and it can sometimes seem a bit cooler. The river then continues to flow to the lower waterfall. You cannot look down this lower part.

From here it's almost all downhill. The hardest part is done! But still gather strength for the tricky descent!
