The cooler months, typically from autumn to spring (October to April), are generally preferred to avoid the intense summer heat, especially in desert regions like Wadi Rum. During these times, the weather is more pleasant for extended rides. The Ajloun Forest Reserve can offer a refreshing escape during warmer periods due to its dense forest environment.
While many areas are freely accessible, some protected regions like the Dana Biosphere Reserve may require permits or local guides for certain trails, especially for longer excursions. It's always advisable to check the specific requirements for the area you plan to ride in advance, particularly if you are venturing into nature reserves or sensitive ecological zones.
