The road between Kloten and Embrach ist extremely busy, however there is a nice cycleway with very smooth asphalted surface which makes it a pleasure to climb up the short, mainly 3-4% grade and one avoids the main road with high traffic.

This route is on excellent smooth pavement with little traffic, except during the rush hour. There are not many fountains nor places for eating on this stretch. The village of Flaach does offer 1 or 2 good restaurants as well a bicycle shop in the village.
