From the turn-off of the access road to the viewing tower, the forest road climbs steeply and the viewing tower is circled in a spiral. The photos with the tower then show the last, really steep climb up to the top at the end. Downwards, there is some view towards the Attersee between the trees.

At the parking lot, the view is very restricted by trees & bushes - only further down from the road is the view clear again

The Kulmspitze is a 1095 m high mountain above the Mondsee in the Upper Austrian Salzkammergut. A wooden observation tower was built on its summit in 2019. The Kulmspitze is the highest point of a ridge that extends west to the Mondseeberg.

Stay calmly on the path; the detour into the forest is not worth it.

If the visibility is perfect, the Dachstein with its glacier remains can be seen beautifully at the Lichtenberg junction to the left of the Schafberg

A detour here is fantastic, especially if you don't like hiking. You can easily drive up the mountain. Of course, it's much nicer by bike or on foot 😍. A little tip for winter: Be careful on the steps of the observation tower! Danger of slipping! Otherwise, it's perfect for a short evening trip 🫶🏼🩷

It's a constant climb here. Much of the forest trail is shaded. A magnificent view awaits at the top.
