The historic Kepler town of Weil der Stadt charmingly combines its rich history with modern quality of life. As the birthplace of the world-famous astronomer Johannes Kepler (1571), it looks back on a significant heritage that is also reflected in the cityscape: a medieval charm with a well-preserved town wall and historic half-timbered houses characterizes the alleys. At the same time, the town in the Würm valley is considered a proud stronghold of the Swabian-Alemannic Carnival, where vibrant traditions are celebrated. Located at the gateway to the Black Forest, the town also offers the perfect starting point for excursions into nature.

Very beautiful old town, very good gastronomy at the town hall and of course Johannes Kepler and the museum

However, a motor vehicle may also come towards you, even though you wouldn't expect it.

Very long and beautiful trail. Definitely the best in the area. In the upper part from the edge of the forest, 3 logs have to be jumped over. At the beginning into the gorge 2 short and very steep descents. Several jumps that can be bypassed. Not for beginners!

A great hill, starting place for gliders and small motor planes, some catering with food and drinks, and once a year the legendary Malmsheim kite festival.
