From here you have a beautiful view of Stefling Castle. It was built on a high granite rock above the Regental valley and was first mentioned in documents as early as 996. So the view has been around for that long. Today, the castle is privately owned.

So we drove all the way up to have a look. The signage up there is rather modest and in a few places access is prohibited for unauthorized persons. There is a monastery tavern and a monastery garden up there on the mountain, which are obvious. The view from the top down into the Regental is rather difficult.

Had a nice bike tour. The lake is unfortunately full of blue-green algae at the moment, otherwise beautiful.
