The bakery, built in 1877, is the only building in Nusfjord that does not belong to the major Nusfjord investor, but to an old lady who grew up in the village. Here you can enjoy fluffy, excellent baked goods with coffee in an exceptionally lovingly decorated, very cozy atmosphere.

This forge was established in 1872 and operated by master blacksmith Tönnes Elias from Bergen. All kinds of tools and equipment for fishing were made here. The forge is still operational today.

Nusfjord - picturesque little town with potential. That's probably what they thought at the tourist office and declared the town an open-air museum. I wasn't willing to pay the 150 NOK and retreated to a cafe that could still be entered for free. The drive into the village past the Batman rock is still a highlight - and free. If you come by car: parking spaces are very scarce. And most motorhome drivers don't have their rigs under control... Careful! ;-)

This fjord provides some very scenic views, especially, if there is a sun/cloud/mist mixture with some azure blue over deep blue water and sandy contrast. Plenty of stops possible along the E10, picnic spots or just for shooting photos. Also invites for strolling around the sandy beaches or go for a quick swim.
