Part of the Jaak Schram Parkloop course, and you'll definitely feel this climb towards the Belvédère while running (or walking). Short, but challenging. After a few laps, you'll definitely start to feel the lactic acid buildup :-). At the Jaak Schram Parkloop, runners choose the distance that suits them best: a 2.5 km loop winds through Sorghvliedt and Broydenborg parks. Runners receive a medal afterward. Runners can relax and enjoy a drink at the Water-link Waterbar.

Square water castle with trapezoidal farmyard on the north side. Situated in the valley of the Struysbeek, more specifically on an island formed by the split of the Vliet, from this point called the Struysbeek. This Struysbeek or Vliet rises in Luythagen (Mortsel) and flows into the Scheldt at Schelle and is usually called Schellevliet. Castle situated in an extensive, exceptionally valuable domain northwest of the municipality, adjacent to the domain of the castle of Hemiksem. Wooded domain, with lawn around the castle, closed off by a hedge with several gates consisting of blocked pillars of bluestone with ornamental vase, between which wrought iron gate. The least you can say (about the domain) of St. Bernardus Abbey is that it has had a long and fascinating history. You will first discover this by walking around the buildings, because information boards (see the photos) tell a large part of the history and various functions of the church, abbey buildings and other structures. And of course you see a lot yourself. That history lives on in the future with even more renovations and projects on the way, while others are flourishing again. Be sure to view the recent works of art on the domain and visit the museums on Sundays. An understanding of the history of the area also helps you appreciate the building and area. There is the so-called Benedenvliet, which was once busy in times long past.
