The elegant, slightly curved steel structure was designed by the renowned Walloon engineering firm Greisch and built between 2003 and 2004. It has a total length of 80 meters and weighs around 67 tons. The bridge has an important tourist and practical function: it directly connects the historic, medieval town center of Durbuy with the green riverbank on the opposite side, where, among other things, the famous Le Parc des Topiaires (topiary park) is located. From the bridge, you also have a wonderful view of the wooded hills of the Ardennes and the historic backdrop of the town.

Cotacol #500, 228m elevation for 4.100 meters, good for an average of 5.6% according to Cotacol. The first kilometer climbs gently, perfect for getting into it after lunch. Then a wall suddenly looms before you, with a double hairpin bend. In the village you can catch your breath, but a new wall awaits to reward you with a view to die for, while the road gently levels out.

Very nice climb. Small, narrow and very peaceful road in a forest environment. Personally, I absolutely do not find this climb to be the most difficult in Belgium. The ascent is even very pleasant, the gradient is reasonable and constant.
