The Rocca di Bertinoro is a historic fortress built around the middle of the 10th century, located on a hill 247 meters high in Bertinoro. The fortress has preserved its original medieval structure and originally served as a defensive structure. Today it houses the Centro Residenziale Universitario and the Museo Interreligioso, dedicated to the dialogue between Judaism, Christianity and Islam. The pride of Bertinoro: Arnaldo Pambianco (Bertinoro, August 16, 1935 – ibid., July 6, 2022) was a very regular Italian cyclist, whose absolute highlight was the Giro d'Italia 1961 (100th edition!) He also won Milan - Turin (1960), the Tour of Sardinia (1963) and the Brabantse Pijl (1964). Following his death in 2022 (as did his wife), a mural by Venezuelan urban artist Luis Gomez De Teran was inaugurated in 2023. Gomez De Teran, known for his realistic style inspired by the Baroque, uses strong contrasts of light and shadow to bring his works to life
