Café Adebar in Bargen is a cozy country café directly on the way to the Eider ferry. It focuses on homemade, freshly prepared food, especially cakes, tortes, and waffles, and seems like a place for a relaxed break on the go. Unfortunately, it is currently permanently closed. However, there are rumors that a reopening is being considered.

The church in Erfde is the St. Marien-Magdalenen-Kirche, an Evangelical-Lutheran village church with Romanesque character. It is considered a listed fieldstone church, presumably from the 13th century, with thick walls made of large fieldstones and a simple, very old aura. Its architectural style is simple and Romanesque; particularly striking are the massive fieldstone walls, which can be up to one meter thick. The church is also closely connected to community life and is used for church services, visits, and guided tours.

Magnificent view over the fields and the steep edge of the Dithmarschen Altmoräne, which was formed in the last ice age.

a typical field stone church, as there are some in this area. It dates from the 12th century. It has a very beautiful church interior. Lots of wood, quite colorful. I liked that very much. More at Wikipedia: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/St.-Marien-Magdalenen-Kirche_(Erfde)

a very well-kept place with a covered break opportunity. The unusual construction, which consists of four huge wooden poles on which a grass-covered roof rests, is modeled on a former harvest storage facility. This construction was called "Four Rod Mountains". The roof was movable in the original. Mayor Volker Lorenzen told me that if you want to spend the night here, you should first obtain the consent of the municipality of Dörpling.

St. Marien-Magdalenen Church in Erfde The church in Erfde is located in the southwest of the church district. It is one of the three churches of the ev. luth. The parish of Stapelholm-Stapel. The natural boundaries of this parish are the rivers Eider, Treene and Sorge. They flow around the landscape like blue ribbons, villages, meadows and pastures. The Marien-Magdalenen church shows a simple Romanesque style, the walls mostly consist of partly very large boulders and are up to one meter thick. It was probably built in the 13th century. https://www.kirchenkreis-schleswig-flensburg.de/gemeinden/kreisgebiet-schleswig-flensburg/stapelholm/unsere-kirchen/st-marien-magdalenen-kirche-in-erfde.html
