Colle between the Po and Varaita valleys, reachable from both (Varaita side, you can climb straight up from Brossasco via Gilba, or from Sampeyre via Colle del Prete), pretty little chapel, canopy with picnic tables, beautiful view from all sides. Excellent destination for a trip.

At the Colletta di Rossana, a memorial dedicated to the Pirate, very simple and moving. Impossible not to stop for a memento.

Interesting fountain-washhouse from times gone by. Not to be missed, in the immediate vicinity, is the chapel of San Sebastiano and a beautiful fresco on a private house.

Suggestive hamlet of Brossasco in the Gilba valley

Classic mountain hamlet at the top of the paved road in the Gilba valley. The road continues from there, soon becomes unpaved, and leads to the Colle del Prete and from there towards Becetto and Sampeyre. The hamlet as a final destination is fine for road bikes anyway. The last two km are truly impactful, locally touching 15%
