On the southern shore of the pond, a caretaker's house once stood on the dam. It was used as a forester's lodge at the beginning of the 20th century, and from the 1930s onwards as a tourist restaurant. In November 1983, the house burned down to its foundations. Starting in 1990, a large wooden log cabin was built in two stages as an inn with a beer garden, called the Forsthaus zur Isenach. Rowboats can also be rented there for trips on the pond.
