There are various ways to hike along the Lech, to be out and about by bike & mountain bike. On broadly developed paths or narrow trails, there is something for everyone! On the narrow paths/trails, mutual consideration & simply be friendly towards each other. With my Enduro & Alpenhupe (small cowbell) I have only had positive experiences so far 👍

On the side road you reach the Naturfreundehaus Klosterlechfeld car park, from there it is approx. 1km to the Haltenberg castle ruins & approx. 600m to the Naturfreundehaus Klosterlechfeld 700m further in the direction of Kaufering there are also Celtic burial mounds, these are marked on Google! Those on the Römerstraße in the forest can also be found via a sign

Always beautiful and well maintained.

Well-drivable road. Due to the changed right of way, however, it is advisable to stay directly on Schmiechener Straße (unlike what is recorded here).

Here you can hear the water rushing! The Hochablass has been damming the Lech since the late Middle Ages and diverting water into the city's canals - a relief for crafts, trades and later industrial enterprises. First mentioned in a document in 1346, the plant was rebuilt in its present location in 1552. The listed reinforced concrete structure received its current form after a flood in 1912. As part of the Augsburg water management system, the Hochablasse has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2019.
