»Willows. (wd) Only a “quite idyllic place,” according to city forester Wolfgang Winter, remains. Even the location of the former Schirchendorf farms can still be seen in the hallway. But the Skirchendorf has long since disappeared. So that it is not completely forgotten, the city of Weiden is erecting a memorial stone on Wednesday afternoon. but-already-in-the-16th-century-only-known-as-a-field-name-commemorative-stone-for-the-skirchendorf-d1156458.html

The crypt chapel in Rothenstadt stands on a wooded small hill, on which the Naab flows directly past, the chapel is hidden under trees. In the years 1863-65 the crypt chapel was built by the von Sazenhofen company on a rampart that is much older. From the road in the direction of Pirk before the motorway bridge you can see the old way of the cross, which leads you directly to the old crypt chapel. The Way of the Cross with the chapel is well worth seeing, especially if you are interested in the Middle Ages.
