Very beautiful viewpoint with a view of the bay of Pollara, framed between dramatically steep mountains and the sea. With clear visibility, views up to the western Aeolian Islands, Filicudi and Alicudi.

The 13th-century tower originally served to monitor the sea and protect against pirate attacks. Located at the foot of Monte dei Porri, one of Salina's twin volcanoes, it offers a great view of the bay of Pollara and, in clear weather, as far as Filicudi and Alicudi. The building itself is neglected.

The pretty and simple little church of Immacolata dates from the first half of the last century, right on the Piazza Rosa dei Venti, a spacious terrace in the town center. From here, you have beautiful views of both the sea and the mountains.

A lovely viewpoint on the bend with seating and a parking bay. From here, Filicudi looks like an exaggeratedly pregnant woman. Be careful when crossing the road; visibility is very poor.

There are no signs on the trail to the Grotto. Just follow the map and trail a little bit downhill to the entrance. I found this Grotto much more interesting and beautiful than the Grotto along the main trail.

The entrance looks unspectacular, but after you enter it, it is really beautiful. If you bring head lights or a flashlight you can go inside and have some nice views outside.
