The trail runs right along the bank of the Drau river, which has an incredible turquoise-green color in this section. The path is completely separated from car traffic, perfectly flat, and covered with flawless asphalt. On one side you have the rushing water, on the other the massive, vertical walls of the Karawanks. An ideal place for kilometers of smooth, relaxing riding with Alpine views in the background.

Gods, graves, and 3000 years of history A journey back in time to our roots. The mysterious Hallstatt period comes alive in Keltenwelt Frög. Around 3000 years ago, the dead of an upper class were buried in Frög with precious grave goods such as jewelry and weapons under enormous burial mounds. These bear witness to the first outlines of a capital in the Carinthian region. The discovery of a magnificent lead hearse is unique in Europe. A system of paths leads through the burial sites to one of the largest princely tombs, which – converted into a show grave – provides deep insights into past death cults. https://keltenwelt.at/

Anyone hiking or cycling with the family will find the Buschenschänke Ischnighof the perfect stage destination. While we relax and enjoy the dreamlike panoramic view of the Carinthian mountains, the children can let off steam on the large playground right at the farm. P.S. They serve exclusively delicious Brettljause (cold cuts platters) here, which are absolutely recommended. #FamilyTime #TripTip #CarinthiaWithKids

From the bridge leading across the Drau, you get imposing views and vistas of the Drau and the surrounding mountain world. A real eye-catcher is the "Nepomuk Statue" in the middle of the bridge, which looks like the "Drau Angel".

Pleasantly rideable bridge over the Drau with a cycle path area that allows oncoming traffic. Beautiful views of the Drau and the surrounding mountains from the bridge.
