The Bridge over the Arzino stream, located near Vito d'Asio, is an engineering and landscape work of extraordinary beauty, perfectly integrated into the wild nature of the Val d'Arzino. This historic bridge spans one of the most spectacular gorges carved by the stream, offering a breathtaking view of the famous springs and waterfalls below, characterized by waters of an intense turquoise color and crystal-clear emerald pools. The structure is not only a crucial road link for the valley, but it represents an unmissable stop for hikers, photographers, and nature lovers. From here, trails depart that descend towards the stream's bed, allowing for close exploration of the canyons and spectacular rock formations shaped by water over millennia, in one of the most pristine environmental contexts of the entire Friulian foothills.

Known as the "Balcony of Friuli", Clauzetto is a charming mountain village in the province of Pordenone, nestled on a natural terrace offering an extraordinary panorama of the plain and the Tagliamento river. The heart of the village is dominated by the Church of San Giacomo Apostolo, reachable via a monumental 18th-century stone staircase, which houses the relic of the Most Precious Blood. A short distance from the center are the spectacular Grotte di Pradis, a deep gorge carved by the Cosa stream where unspoiled nature blends with history, thanks to important archaeological finds linked to Neanderthals. Walking through the hamlets of Clauzetto means immersing yourself in spontaneous architecture made of local stone that preserves the authentic and hospitable charm of the Friulian mid-mountain area intact.

The Church of Sant'Antonio da Padova, located in the hilly hamlet of Pielungo in the municipality of Vito d'Asio, is a sacred building of great importance to the local community. Built between the 19th and 20th centuries on the site of a former cemetery, the structure blends harmoniously into the landscape of the Val d'Arzino, with its bell tower towering over the inhabited center. Inside, the church houses a valuable artistic heritage. Particularly noteworthy are the frescoes in the choir executed in 1905 by the Friulian painter Francesco Barazzutti, as well as the refined Carrara marble altars enriched with mosaic details, created by Tuscan artisans. Deeply linked to the history of local emigration, the church has always been the spiritual and identity reference point for the "pielungans" scattered around the world.

Maniago Castle is a 12th-century military structure located on the slopes of Mount Jôf, dominating the town. It was built to resolve the problems facing the Patriarchate of Aquileia following the donation of its lands to Patriarch Rodoaldo by Emperor Otto II. The distance between the estates and Aquileia made their administration difficult, especially with the formation of the large fiefdom of Spilimbergo, the consolidation of the Sestensi holdings in the Cellina Valley, those of Millstatt Abbey in the territory of Maniago Libero, and the settlement of the Polcenigo family in Mizza. Therefore, the construction of a castle was necessary, and above all, a "custoria," or "residence fiefdom." During the Turkish invasion of 1467, the walls were reinforced, but after being abandoned in the early 16th century and the earthquakes of 1511 and 1575, the castle began to decline. In 1630, it finally fell into disuse. https://www.comune.maniago.pn.it/it/vivere-il-comune-221534/luoghi-221535/il-castello-239607

This war cemetery, with hundreds of Italian and Austro-Hungarian gravestones, reminds us of the absurdity of war, which leaves behind only mourning, pain, and destruction.

A small mountain village with a very narrow through road. There's a striking platform with a church that also serves as a memorial. Information panels and plaques commemorate the hardships endured by the residents and military during the First World War.
