Beautiful sanctuary. The story of the name is curious: I invite you to read it.

The Capra farmhouse is located on the Brembo cycle/pedestrian path. Crossing point for two directions: southwards in the direction of Osio Sotto, westwards in the direction of the footbridge over the river in the direction of Filago.

An ancient story tells how, in very distant times, in the place where the Sanctuary dedicated to the Madonna della Scopa now stands, there was a country chapel dedicated to Mary. The place, in the open countryside, was frequented by farmers and wayfarers who passed along an ancient road. Over time, the chapel ended up in a state of abandonment, becoming an "unclean cave, where all garbage was made". One fine day the Blessed Virgin, badly tolerating the state of abandonment of the sacred place dedicated to her, decided "to come in person to show her sovereign disgust, she presented herself in the modest enclosure, dressed in her august majesty as a queen, but humiliated in the attitude of a poor maid cleaning the dirt from her soiled shrine with a broom". That's why the sanctuary has this strange name
